Toddler critical after gas delivery truck hit

A one-year and six-month-old toddler is fighting for his life at Princess Marina Hospital after being hit by a gas delivery vehicle at his family's home in Mogoditshane on Saturday morning. The accident occurred at around 11am in Tsolamosese location, police said.

It is alleged that the gas delivery vehicle had just finished offloading a gas cylinder when the driver accidentally knocked down the child whilst leaving the yard.

No.13 District Traffic Officer, Superintendent Obonetse Matshego, explained the toddler sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Princess Marina Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
