The teenager was last seen in her Matlala Junior Secondary School uniform and was reported missing after four days. Tlokweng police investigated her disappearance.
Tlokweng police acting station commander, Superintendent Botswelelo Pusoeng said the teenage girl was found safe on Friday.
Asked where she had been for over a week, Pusoeng said they learnt that she had visited her friends and was reported to have been gallivanting around Greater Gaborone.
“It had taken five days for her family to report the matter because according to them the teenage girl has a tendency of going away from home and later return, but this time around she had gone away for days without a trace,” Pusoeng said.
“After not coming home for days her family got worried and opened the case.”
