Now Masisi’s adversaries in the political sphere are riding on the wave. The president of the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) Duma Boko did not miss the opportunity to take a swipe at Masisi during his visit to South Africa that was aired on the neighbouring country’s national television SABC. Now, the Botswana National Front (BNF) is set to host mass demonstrations whilst the president of the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) Dumelang Saleshando will also make a statement on the affairs of the judiciary and state of the country, following Kgosi Mosadi’s utterances.

Following the postponement of the appeal case brought forward by the government, Mmegi caught up with Kgosi Seboko on the sidelines of court. She pleads with Mmegi: ‘Please protect me because I don’t want to be seen as if I am disrespecting anyone especially those that hold high offices.’ She added: “Politics, what politics. This is about the land that belongs to Balete. I am not into politics nor do I belong to any political party. I am not playing politics but I was simply telling Balete what happened during the meeting I had with the President.”
