Coalition politics seem a tall order in requiring selfless political leaders instead of those who sublime their personal interests above those of the populace. This comes to the fore as Botswana’s coalition partnership, the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC), is currently undergoing its worst strain since the 2019 general election.
