Teen fights for life after car crash

The accident occurred at around 4:03am near the village’s Main Kgotla and involved a Toyota Corolla and a Honda Fit. No.13 District Traffic Officer, Superintendent Obonetse Matshego, said the teenager was a passenger in the Toyota Corolla and sustained serious injuries from the collision.

"It looks like one of the drivers failed to obey the traffic lights, resulting in a collision,” he said when confirming the incident. “The girl sustained a fractured hand, lost her teeth, and is currently hospitalised in the ICU at Bokamoso Private Hospital, fighting for her life." Matshego said both drivers escaped the accident without injuries. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
