Plain clothed security officers last night invaded the Game City mall and arrested a suspect in the murder of Fairground Holdings Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Michael Montshiwa.

One witness who preferred to remain anonymous said, “ the man in the red GTI pulled in at the car wash, he looked like he was in a hurry as he kept looking through his rear-view mirror. He was with a female companion.”

He further related,  “all of a sudden the plain clothes officers appeared from nowhere with guns pointed at the vehicle, they asked the man to exit the vehicle before proceeding to search the car but they found nothing.”

“I heard them say to the man that they are arresting him because they suspect he was involved in the murder of a man in Block VI, to which he replied he was not aware,” said the witness .

The witness also claims the man who had tatooes all over his left arm told the police, calmly, that he did not know if the man died, he told them that he had previously had a physical altercation with him at a  drinking spot but he did not know he was dead.”

Mmegi has been informed that the police handcuffed the man after tailing him with a chopper.  The woman was not handcuffed but left with the troop to an unknown place.

Efforts to solicit a comment from the Police spokesperson, Christopher Mbulawa were futile at time of going to press, as his phone rang unanswered.
