SOS Gets Cash Injection

FRANCISTOWN: Christmas came early for the financially constrained Societas Socialis (SOS) village here on Friday when it received a P10,000 cash injection from Galo Mall for their Christmas festivities. The city mayor Silvia Muzila received the cheque from Galo on behalf of the SOS Village at the Galo Shopping Centre.

The event coincided with the World Aids Day commemorations. Muzila welcomed the act of benevolence from Galo Shopping Centre. “On behalf of the SOS village and the city of Francistown we welcome the gesture from Galo Shopping Centre,” she said.

In her address, Muzila warned that the HIV/Aids pandemic is still claiming a lot of lives in Botswana despite efforts made by the government to reduce the scourge.
