Serowe police investigate suicide by hanging

Police are investigating an incident in which a 50-year-old man of Ramogate ward in Serowe was found hanging from a tree at a nearby bush on Saturday evening.

According to Serowe Police Station commander, Superintendent Poloko Oteng, the deceased is alleged to have called one of his relatives earlier, informing her of his intention to take his own life.

Alarmed by the call, the relative quickly alerted other family members and urged them to rush to his home.
