SADC to meet urgently over Zimbabwe

Southern African Developmet Community (SADC) is expected to meet within the shortest possible time to find a solution to the ongoing political turmoil in Zimbabwe between the country’s military and President Robert Mugabe.

South African Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maite Nkoana Mashabane landed in Gaborone yesterday afternoon to meet with SADC Executive Secretary, Dr Stegomena Lawrence Tax, other diplomats and high level dignitaries from the region.

The closed-door meeting, which was held at SADC Headquarters and lasted for several hour,s could not immediately come up with a solution.
