RAKOPS: The Finance and Development Deputy Permanent Secretary, Matilda Basinyi, has revealed that one of the biggest hurdles experienced by the Government is resource constraints, which is why the development of these facilities takes longer than planned.

In her remarks during the Rakops Primary Hospital refurbished theatre handover, Basinyi stated that to overcome the challenges, there is a need for partnerships and collaborations, as the Government alone cannot deliver the much-needed services.

Therefore, she elaborated that she was excited to witness the demonstration of this partnership through the handover of the refurbished hospital theatre sponsored by Debswana Orapa, Letlhakane, and Damtshaa Mines (OLDM) and its stakeholders through the General Manager’s (GM) Charity Walk.
