A Radisele man, 36, has been arrested for the murder of his late teen girlfriend, police have said.

The suspect, who works as a herder at Makoro Lands, allegedly fatally stabbed his 18-partner with a sharp object. The incident happened recently at Makoro Lands on the outskirts of Palapye village. Palapye Police Station commander, Superintendent Koziba Phuluweni said the young woman from Kaimina ward, Otse village in Central District was found lying lifeless in a pool of blood with multiple stabbed wounds. "We suspect that she was stabbed to death with a sharp object, but we have since launched a probe to establish what transpired. "The suspect who alleges he was being cheated on by the deceased is currently in police custody for investigations faced with a single count of murder. He will this week appear before Palapye Magistrates' Court for arraignment," Phuluweni added.
