Projections on Bulela Ditswe appeals

The upshot of the Bulela Ditswe appeal hearings next week could either harm the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) in the coming general elections or help it retain some of its constituencies.
So far Mmegi has established that BDP aggrieved members are already threatening to defect to opposition parties or contest as independent candidates. Some have already defected to opposition parties because they were not happy with the way their party primary elections were conducted.
Despite legislative reforms and various initiatives aimed at curbing Gender-Based Violence (GBV), the situation remains dire.
