Police urge caution on roads as Easter travel begins

As many Batswana, particularly members of the public and church groups, begin their Easter holidays travelling to various destinations today, traffic police have urged all road users to exercise extreme caution to prevent loss of lives

Botswana Police Service Traffic Director Pilane Sibigi has expressed a concern over the increase in road accidents during holiday periods especially Easter holidays where people travel in large groups.

“Road fatalities remain one of the country’s major concerns and it is often the case that people have a great time with their loved ones to ending up in tragic situations due to road fatalities. This week we have been holding community outreach with churches sensitising them about road safety ahead of this holiday,” he said.
