Foul play is suspected in the death of a 36-year-old man from Palapye who allegedly died after his girlfriend said he had been showing symptoms of feeling weak, dizzy and vomiting on Thursday morning.

His 33-year-old girlfriend rushed him to the Palapye Primary Hospital after allegedly discovering the symptoms where on arrival he was certified dead by doctors. No. 2 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Paul Oketsang confirmed investigating the matter which was reported at around 9am.

“The deceased was bleeding, he had a wound on the right side of his head that allegedly occurred after he allegedly fell and hit the ground with his head. However, we are currently waiting for post-mortem results to state the cause of his death and what caused that wound. We do not dispute the deceased might have fallen but we want post-mortem to clear any doubts. Investigations into the matter are ongoing,” Oketsang said.
