Police probe: Man wanted in Gatampa defilement

Police are investigating a defilement case reported in the Gatampa settlement, allegedly involving a 13-year-old schoolgirl.

According to Goodhope police, the incident was reported on Saturday after the parents of the minor, who is a student at a junior secondary school in Lobatse, discovered that she was allegedly sexually involved with a known adult male in the area. The parents subsequently reported the matter to the police.

Goodhope Police Station commander, Superintendent Mogogi Mathaba, said following the report, police commenced follow-up investigations, during which the teenage girl was taken to Goodhope Primary Hospital for medical examination.
