Police praise Paje revellers for 'model behaviour'

According to Serowe Police Station commander, Superintendent Poloko Oteng a sizeable number of officers was deployed in and around the village as they had anticipated heightened criminal activity.
He said they managed to control the crowds whose behaviour was exceptional despite a large number of revellers in attendance. Oteng added they did not record any serious offences such as murder, rape, or assault, or register any fatal accident accidents as they had anticipated.
“The event had attracted a lot of people from villages within Central District but revellers were on their best behaviour. We made a 'Stop, Question and Search' along the main roads leading to the event to make sure revellers were on their best behaviour and they did not disappoint us,” he said.
