Police officer' murder: boyfriend arrested

The boyfriend to the deceased was arrested this morning in Lobatse. Asked if indeed the boyfriend handed himself to Lobatse police as alleged, No:3 officer commanding, senior Superintendent, Theriso Thatayotlhe, dismissed the rumours, but confirmed that he was arrested by the police following a manhunt.

"The suspect will soon be arraigned before Broadhurst Magistrates Court and investigations into the matter are ongoing," Thatayotlhe said.

The deceased was last seen on Friday morning around 10am walking with the suspect who had followed her to work and shortly she came running screaming for help with stab wounds, before she collapsed. She was certified dead on arrival by the doctors at Extension 2 Clinic.
