A 28-year-old Zimbabwean man died on the spot after a speeding Toyota Fortuner hit him along the KT Motsete Drive by the Hyundai roundabout on Sunday at 1am.

No 3 District officer commanding, Senior Superintendent Theriso Thatayotlhe said the deceased was initially involved in an accident before the fatal mishap as his Honda Fit found by the roadside had burnt to ashes. "We suspect that the deceased was trying to ask for help when he was hit by a speeding car.

The driver of a Toyota Fortuner is currently in police custody helping the police with investigations," he said. Thatayotlhe said if found guilty, the Toyota Fortuner driver is likely to be charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
