Pedestrian dies after being hit by car near Radisele

Police in Mahalapye Central are investigating a fatal road accident in which a 36-year-old man was hit by a car and died on the spot in the early hours of Sunday, about three kilometres from Radisele along the A1 Highway.

Mahalapye Central Police Station assistant commander, Superintendent Moathodi Onalenna, confirmed the incident and said they received the report at around 1:45 am.

According to Onalenna, initial investigations indicate that the vehicle, driven by a 39-year-old man from Tshikinyega Ward in Mahalapye, was travelling from north to south when it hit the pedestrian, who was attempting to cross the road from the east to west.
