Pedestrian, 32, dies in Mmopane truck accident

A 32-year-old man lost his life after he was hit by a horse-and-trailer truck in the early hours of Saturday at Mmopane Block 1. Police said they received a report at around 1am from a passerby who discovered the victim lying lifeless on the roadside shortly after the truck had passed.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the front section of the truck had already passed the pedestrian before he was struck by the trailer.

The incident was confirmed by Mogoditshane Police Station acting commander, Superintendent Mompoloki Ramaphoi.
