Peace and unity as JWs Imitate Jesus

More than 4,000 people gathered at Fairgrounds, in Gaborone, to attend the “Imitate Jesus!” Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses which ended last Sunday.

Many expressed their appreciation for what they learned from the Bible about Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and were looking forward to the benefits of applying this in their lives. Titus Mbuya, a spokesman for the convention programme, commented: “To qualify for baptism one must learn and live in harmony with God’s requirements found in His Word, the Bible. It was wonderful to see 50 people symbolise their dedication to Jehovah God by water baptism.”

All present received Bible based literature and a DVD designed to provide spiritual assistance to families. One of those who received a personal copy of the book entitled “Jesus- The Way, the Truth, the Life” stated: “I am so thankful for this lovely gift which helps us learn from the Bible what Jesus was like and how we can benefit from following his example!”
