In a rather unfortunate incident, a friend killed another in Tobane on Independence Day following an argument over who between them had on the best-looking pair of pants.

Narrating what transpired, No 20 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Meshack Pulenyane said the duo was putting on new trousers as they celebrated Botswana’s 56th Independence Day and an argument ensued as they debated on whose trousers looked better.

Pulenyane said the incident occurred at around 5pm at one of the friends’ yards in Tobane village.
