The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) yesterday heard that a patient at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital in Francistown was issued expired medication that adversely affected their condition.

Tati East Member of Parliament Samson Moyo Guma, who is also a member of the committee, told the forum that the patient was put on expired drugs for a month. Guma wanted to know the measures the Ministry of Health has in place for such cases.

“The mistake was discovered later when the patient reacted to the expired drugs,” said Guma.
