Police say they are investigating a case in which Sefalana Cash and Carry in Nkoyaphiri, Mogoditshane was robbed at 'gunpoint' on Saturday evening.

According to the law enforcement officials, three masked men got into the store when it was about to close at around 8pm and one of them took out something that resembled a pistol and started threatening employees, demanding money from all of the cash registers. The robbers reportedly walked away with cash amounting to P9,000.

Mogoditshane Police Station commander, Superintendent Boemo Bok said following the incident the trio allegedly fled with a Honda Fit. The vehicle, he said, was all along seen by street vendors parked metres away from the store premises even though they couldn't identify its plate number. "Investigations into the matter are ongoing to locate and arrest the suspects who are still at large," Bok said.
