Murder-Suicide Plan Goes Awry, Boyfriend Dies

The incident involving the two happened at Minestone Park on Wednesday morning at around 11am, police confirmed. Central Police Station commander, Superintendent Lebalang Maniki said they suspect that the boyfriend stabbed his girlfriend with a knife with the intent to kill her and thereafter kill himself, but the girlfriend escaped by the skin of her teeth.

Maniki added that the police suspect after seeing that he may have fatally stabbed his girlfriend, the boyfriend subsequently turned the knife on himself, sustaining a fatal wound. “The police took the boyfriend and his girlfriend to the hospital for medical attention, but the boyfriend was unfortunately certified dead upon arrival at the hospital.
