MASUNGA: Tati West Member of Parliament Biggie Butale has said citizen economic empowerment (CEE) is top priority in order to better the lives of Batswana.

Addressing his constituents at Masunga kgotla recently, Butale said the high unemployment rate in the country can be solved by having fully functional industries, as well as reducing over-dependence on one commodity –diamonds.

He said the country is endowed with natural resources like coal which should be fully exploited for the benefit of the citizens. Butale said car manufacturing is one avenue that can be exploited as the country has abundance of metals.
