Morupisi's sentence 'very light'—BLLAHWU president

Morupisi was convicted and given a two-year suspended sentence after he was found guilty of money laundering and two counts of corruption. His wife, Pinny Morupisi and her company R7 Group Limited were discharged and acquitted.

Morupisi was also ordered to pay a fine of P50,000 or in default go to prison for five years for the charge of abuse of office. For the money laundering charge, Morupisi was ordered to pay a fine of P80,000 or in default go to prison for eight years.
