Moeng student found hanging from a tree

PALAPYE: Police in are investigating a case in which an 18-year-old Form Four student at Moeng College was found hanging from a Motopi tree in Mhalapitsa village in Tswapong last Thursday. Palapye police station commander, Superintendent Waboraro Ramaja said that the deceased had been reported as missing two days earlier.

“Last Thursday evening we received a call about a man found hanging from a tree near a football pitch.  The father explained that the boy went away in his absence and did not leave any note.  Upon our arrival there we found the body of the deceased in a decomposed state hence medical doctors recommended that the body be buried the same night,” Ramaja said.

Meanwhile, in a separate matter, a 27-year-old-man was found dead along the  Palapye railway line, on independence eve.
