Masire dismisses threats� allegations

Former president Sir Ketumile Masire has dismissed allegations that he was threatened by Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) leadership not to attend Ndaba Gaolathe’s launch.

Masire admitted that he was invited by Gaolathe to attend his launch, which was held at Rainbow hall in Block 9 on Saturday.

“I do not see anything wrong with that because I treat him as my son. It had nothing to do with my party. BDP leadership does not have any power to cease my presidential benefits,” he said.
