Head of Traffic, Katholo Mosimanegape says two people lost their lives at this year’s edition of the annual Toyota Kalahari 1000km Desert Race.

The event popularly known as Mantshwabisi, took place this past weekend. All roads leading to Jwaneng, the host town, were conjested by Friday as joyriders left for the race.

According to the traffic boss who spoke to The Monitor yesterday, two people died at the event after their vehicles lost control.
