FRANCISTOWN: Police are still actively searching for a man in his 30s who allegedly killed two of his young children at Monarch location on Saturday before fleeing the scene.

The victims, aged three years and 11 months, were discovered dead by their mother at her rented house. The mother is said to have immediately notified the police, prompting an immediate search.

Despite deploying more officers on the ground and helicopters to monitor most parts of the city, police efforts have yet to yield any results. "We do not have any leads at the moment. Officers are currently searching for the suspect," Francistown Police Station commander, Douglas Khumalo, told Mmegi this afternoon.

Police have urged members of the public to report any information that might lead to the arrest of the suspect who reportedly hails from Matobo village.
