Man strangles lover to death

FRANCISTOWN: Police have arrested a man accused of strangling his girlfriend to death during a lovers’ tiff on Friday.

The deceased’ decomposing body was found in the dilapidated shack the two shared in the low-income location of Kgapamadi.

A colleague of the deceased, who was an Ipelegeng worker, became suspicious when she did not report to work on Monday. She then decided to check on her at her home. “The colleague knocked on the door for a long time but there was no response. When she forcefully opened the door, she found the victim’s lifeless body on the floor, wrapped in blankets,” said a source close to the deceased.
