In a dreadful mishap, a 26-year-old man got burnt to a crisp in a bizarre accident. Police in Jwaneng have told The Monitor they received the heads-up in the early hours of Saturday.

Acting station commander at Jwaneng Police Station, Thabologo Bojosi said the incident happened at around 3.30am. Bojosi said from their initial probing, it seems the man was driving alone.

"He was driving alone when the car lost control. His car, a Mazda Demio hit an electric pole and eventually crashed into a ditch," he said. The police say the car went up in smoke with the man still stuck inside.
