Man charged with threat to kill

PALAPYE: A 29-year-old man of Seroromane ward, Khumo Khumo, appeared before Magistrate Rebecca Motsamai on Monday, on a charge of threat to kill.

The state alleges that on January 25, 2015, Khumo threatened to kill at Serorome ward. The prosecution said that the accused had uttered the following words to the complainant: “Batho bao ke tla ba bolaela mo tlung ke bo ke ipolaya. Fa e le wa mosadi ene ke tla mo rema ka selepe.” (I’m going to kill everyone in the house and proceed to kill myself. As for that woman, I will hack her to death with an axe).

The unemployed Khumo however pleaded not guilty to the charge, and told the magistrate that he would conduct his own defence in the matter.
