A 21-year-old suspect is in custody for allegedly stabbing and killing a man in his 30s in Ditshegwana village on Sunday morning, prompting police in Letlhakeng to investigate the case.

According to police, the deceased and the suspect were members of a cooperative society, commonly known as a motshelo, where members take turns hosting gatherings at their homes and sell various items, including alcohol.

The incident occurred when members of the group were gathered at one of the hosts' residences. It is alleged that the deceased and the suspect became involved in a misunderstanding, which escalated into a physical fight.
