LOBATSE: A 57-year-old man of Moshupa appeared before Lobatse magistrate, Mareledi Dipate, on Thursday on a single count of hunting a partially protected animal without licence or permit.

The state alleges that the accused, Tom Tlhoolebe, on or about July 17, 2015 near Lobatse quarry, hunted a leopard without permit or licence or an exemption certificate authorising the same. The accused person pleaded guilty to the charge.

Appearing for the state was Sub Inspector Mishingo Kedikanetswe of Lobatse police station who said the accused plea of guilt was not expected.
