Lechana head-on collision claims two lives

Two people lost their lives on the spot after their BMW car collided with a Nissan MP300 BX near Lechana along the A1 Highway on Friday afternoon.

Confirming investigation into the fatal accident, No 2 district officer commanding, Senior Superintendent Paul Oketsang said the accident occurred at around 3:30pm.

“The BMW was driven by the 31-year-old man who together with a frontal passenger, a 30-year-old woman, lost their lives on the spot. The 55-year-old driver of a Nissan escaped the accident with minor injuries as he was only complaining of chest pains. The BMW car had five occupants including the driver and another three passengers who escaped with injuries,” he said.
