Khama case postponed indefinitely

Khama, who is facing 14 charges ranging from unlawful possession of firearms, arms, and ammunitions to receiving stolen property, was supposed to appear again in court yesterday (Monday), before announcing on Saturday in Serowe where he had a welcome ceremony that his case has been postponed indefinitely. "I didn't come here because of my upcoming court date, that one I have been informed that it has been postponed. I don't even know when it will come up because there is no date," Khama said. The former, as the only remaining accused in the case, did not say much as to why his case had been postponed.
He was charged with the late former Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) boss, Isaac Kgosi, former Commissioner of Police, Keabetswe Makgophe, and former Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture, Bruno Paledi. Makgophe and Paledi had their charges dropped while there were allegations that before Kgosi died, his charges were also about to be dropped. Khama on the other hand has tried numerous times whilst on a self-imposed exile in South Africa to have his charges dropped. His last attempt was at the High Court where he wanted his charges viewed and set aside on the grounds that they were outright irrational and made without any evidence. Khama has always said his charges were politically and maliciously motivated.
