Jwaneng player collapses, dies during match

JWANENG: Botho Football Club here is reeling with shock and mourning the death of one of its players who collapsed and died during a match on Sunday.

Club coach, Tshepo Mathule told Mmegi that the deceased collapsed onto his knees after taking a corner-kick during the game. The names of the deceased are being withheld for now.

“We were playing in hot weather and it’s possible that there was an issue of dehydration,” the coach said.
