FRANCISTOWN: Francistown West legislator Ignatius Moswaane insists that he has done nothing wrong to deserve a reprimand from the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) leadership.

Speaking to Mmegi in the wake of President Ian Khama’s remarks against a troublesome legislator at the BDP congress in Mmadinare over the weekend, Moswaane insisted the president could not have been speaking about him because he did no wrong. Khama had threatened stern action against a certain Member of Parliament (MP) who does not follow the party constitution and was bordering on ill discipline.

While Khama did not mention the name of the MP he accused of indiscipline, many party members at the congress drew an inference that he was referring to Moswaane. Moswaane has been very critical to the party and government in recent months.
