Idle DIS officers paid over P8.1m

Government has spent more than P8.1 million over the past three years paying salaries of 11 Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) officers who have not been reporting for duty, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) hearing has revealed. Appearing before the committee on Monday, DIS Director General Peter Magosi defended his decision not to reinstate the officers.
