Husband stabs wife to death

A man killed his 32-year-old wife and critically injured his seven month-old baby in a stabbing incident after a domestic quarrel in Masebitseng Ward in Tlokweng, police said.

Sources said the suspect stabbed the deceased several times in the chest and head. It is understood that the woman was stabbed while attempting to protect her baby from the husband who wanted to harm it.

The woman had alerted neighbours about the attack, yelling that her husband was killing her, a police source said. Tlokweng Police Station commander, superintendent Lebang Maniki said the suspect is still at large. It is alleged that the woman had told the suspect that she wanted to visit her father who was hospitalised in a South African hospital.
