It has been reported that yesterday's heavy traffic leading north has eased.

"The traffic is back to normal, it looks like this year most of the people did not travel as usual around this time and even those who were traveling yesterday we were pleased with their driving because we did not record accidents. Usually we record fatal avcident around this peroid, but this year we have not recorded anything which is commendable. We are visible on the road, we have mounted speed traps and we also have highway patrols controlling the traffic," Ranku said.
