Gaborone West police are investigating a dumping case after a baby was found inside a waste collection bin by Choppies earlier today.

The baby is suspected to have been dumped last night before she was found by Choppies workers when disposing waste into the bin who later reported the matter to the police.

The said bin is located few meters away from Gaborone West Police.

Confirming the incident, Gaborone West Police Station Commander, Superintendent Knight Molosiwa said the baby girl who is about five to six months old was rushed to Princess Marina Hospital where she was confirmed dead by the doctors on arrival.


Molosiwa further pleaded with members of the community to assist with information that could lead the police to the mother of the child.
