A 30-year-old man of Bosele ward, Gantsi, was stabbed to death at one of the local night clubs on Saturday morning following a heated disagreement over beer.

Gantsi Police Station commander, Superintendent Dennis Zilawe, said the fight occurred around 6am. "It is alleged that prior to the fatal stabbing incident, the 24-year-old man, the suspect, had accused the deceased of taking his bottle of beer, something that led to a fight. Whilst fighting, the suspect took out a knife and stabbed him on the chest," he said. Zilawe added the deceased was rushed to Gantsi Primary Hospital where he was certified dead on arrival by the doctors. He said the suspect was arrested that fateful morning and will appear before the Gantsi Magistrates' Court for arraignment sometime this week, where he will to face a single count of murder. The station head further implored the public to avoid fights, especially when intoxicated, because in such situations individuals usually take decisions they tend to regret when sobered up. "I am also pleading with men to avoid carrying knives at entertainment places because we have observed that they are always quick to use them when having disputes," he said.
