Car break-ins are spiralling out of control in Gaborone as Gaborone West police urge motorists to remain vigilant and avoid leaving valuables in their vehicles, amidst a surge in break-ins across the policing area.

Gaborone West Police Station Commander, Superintendent Knight Molosiwa, said the incidents remain a concern, with police recording between three and four cases weekly. Molosiwa identified Molapo Crossing and Westgate Mall as the main hotspots for the crimes. He explained that thieves primarily target vehicles containing electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.
