A 29-year-old man of Extension 5 in Palapye was arrested after he allegedly raped his five-year-old biological daughter last Friday.
In an interview with MmegiOnline, Palapye Police Station Commander, Superintendent Molly Lebala-Moduke said the matter occurred last Friday and was reported on Sunday.
"Investigations into the matter are ongoing to establish whether he sexually violated her or not. The duo, daughter and father live together in Extension 5, in Palapye with the father's mother," Lebala-Moduke said.
Lebala-Moduke said cases of defilement and rape remain a concern in her policing area. She stated that this quarter, from January to March they have already recorded five cases of defilement and 13 cases of rape.
