Motivational speaker Zannel Sealetsa will host an annual event called Breakfast with Zannel aimed at helping women heal from life stressors.
This year's event is themed 'Heal, The Body, Mind and Soul' will be held on September 24, 2024 at Aquarian Tide Hotel. According to Sealetsa, it is imperative to focus on women as they constitute a high percentage of the country's population. “Therefore, it is only befitting to have a platform where women from all walks of life pause and appreciate where they are bleeding so that healing can manifest. Sadly, the lives women live lately constitute life stressors. Women in the home front are hard hit! Some women single- handedly raise their children alone! What a task to carry alone! Building the future generation of tomorrow while hurting and paining in some instances bring negativity in the children's upbringing," she said. Moreover, Sealetsa pointed out that a lot of women are going through financial strain and financial pain. She added that it was even worse where they land in big problems of high debts.
She explained that was saddening to see a new trend where men also get money from women in the pretext of love saying it ends up causing much pain to women. She said to alleviate that pain a financial guru will also be part of the speakers to breather a new life to women. She further explained that the strain women go through affect their physical body. She also said some of the diseases could be prevented and controlled if a woman was healed hence the need of a medical practitioner to address women on health issues. Seeletsa also called for women to be empowered and consequently empowering the nation. “Leave out a woman with no knowledge and the world gets into severe darkness. The soul is also important to be healed. We cannot heal the wound without cleaning and taking care of it from within. Holistically, healing is key and anyone who has experienced it will know that I speak immaculately to the soul and in this platform I will be doing such. We need a bandage to heal women through these many speakers. Everyone is a spiritual being, hence we cannot omit spirituality as part of the healing in this era. Dr Prophetess Lesego Cutten will also address this,” she pointed out. Additionally, Sealetsa noted that gender based violence (GBV) issues are in the rise daily in the nation. She said GBV was dearly worrisome hence their decision to invite a personnel from the GBV foundation from Germany who will also be sharing on the pains, hurts and effects of GBV.
The guest speaker of the event will be the Gaborone Mayor, Austin Abram. She said the city mayor would speak to the women to heal as leaders. She further said women were leaders in varied forms and structures saying a woman is a leader in the home front hence she needs the expertise to rise and shine.
“In the workplace and in the marketplace we need women of value and substance, a topic the mayor will be addressing especially in these turbulent and stressing seasons of life. This event is very impactful and needs every woman to stand, rise and shine! It is an event not to be missed! Corporate, institutions, groups and individuals need not miss this opportunity to be empowered, to network and heal! Let's all come to this event to lay off the baggage that has been heavy on us as women,” she ended.
