According to the police, the suspects allegedly smashed the couple’s door with stones before forcefully gaining entry into the house. Once inside, they demanded money and electronic gadgets.

No.13 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Mmoloke Sebako, said the police received a report at around 4am. “We received a report from a 70-year-old man who informed us that he and his wife were attacked and robbed whilst asleep. The suspects stole P1,000 in cash, R1,000, two laptops, and three mobile phones before fleeing the scene,” Sebako said.
