Deaf Association slam govt for discrimination

The Botswana Association for the Deaf (BoAD) has accused the government of discriminating against people with hearing disability. BoAD secretary, Boitumelo Tshotlego said the government treats people with hearing disability differently and not as citizens with the rights to enjoy benefits from state programmes.

 

She said BoAD has raised so many issues related to education of people with hearing problems but they are never attended to.
